Conversations with people who built a life in Dubai: how the city shaped them, what it gave them, and what it cost. It is not a property show.
番組についてAbout the show
ドバイに来た理由や税金の話はもう十分に語られています。この番組で聞きたいのは、その先のこと。毎週同じ場所に通い続ける人、母語でこの街を生きる人、家族の歴史ごとドバイに引っ越してきた人。ゲストの多くは、ホストの若林亮が水曜日のパデルやその周辺で実際に知り合った人たちです。
ホストは日本人。日本の感覚とドバイの日常を往復しながら、ほかのインタビューでは聞かれていない質問をします。
Why people moved here and what they pay in tax has been covered enough. This show asks about what comes after: the person who turns up at the same court every week, the one who lives the city in their first language, the one who brought a whole family history with them. Most guests are people the host, Ryo Wakabayashi, knows from Wednesday padel and the life around it.
The host is Japanese, and the questions move between a Japanese sense of things and everyday Dubai, looking for the answers a guest has not given on another podcast.
